Public Health Nurse (LPN) / Health Educator

The Lawrence County Health Department is seeking a qualified and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time (35 hours/week) dual-role position as a Public Health Nurse and Health Educator. Candidates must hold a current LPN license in the State of Missouri.

Position Overview
The individual in this role will provide comprehensive community health services, including but not limited to:

  • Administering immunizations

  • Conducting communicable disease investigations

  • Performing laboratory specimen collection

  • Providing STI testing and routine clinical services

In addition, this position supports health education initiatives by:

  • Developing and delivering community health education programs

  • Participating in required training to become a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician

  • Creating informative and engaging social media content

  • Collaborating with schools, community organizations, and partner agencies to enhance public health outcomes
